Cheesy Chicken Sandwiches

I got to come home for lunch and decided to make something for the family to eat.  I found the ingredients and threw them together.  This one is a quick made up dish that was really a yummy hit.

Gourmet Dad's Rating:   Scale of 1-5,  1 = Bad, 5 = Excellent
Simplicity - 5
Taste - 5
Prep Time - 5
Kid Friendly - 5  (My 5 year old ate seconds!)

Ingredients:
1, 10oz Can Chicken In Water (White, or White and Dark, no difference here)
3 tbsp Miracle Whip (Or Mayo)
1 tsp Mrs Dash original
10 Slices of Bread
5 Slices of Cheese (I prefer Cheddar)

Yield:  5 Cheesy Chicken Sandwiches
Preparation Time:  10 min
Cook Time: 10-15 min

Items you will need:
Mixing Bowl
Fork
Baking Sheet

Directions:
Turn on Oven to 350 degrees F.

1.  Open the can of chicken and drain.  Add it to your bowl.

2.  Add 3 tbsp of Miracle Whip (or Mayo) and stir very well.  I stir by smashing the chicken with the back of the fork to force it through the slits until it is all broken apart uniformly and mixed well.

3.  Add 1 tsp of Mrs. Dash original and stir.

4.  Apply a layer of chicken to one piece of bread

5.  Add a piece of cheese to the sandwich.  (I used one and a half because I used a wide loaf of bread.

6.  Put on the second piece of bread and place on baking sheet.  Repeat 4 more times or until you run out of Chicken.  (I only made 4, but had extra chicken left over)

7.  Place the baking sheet in the oven for 10-15 min or until crisp and the cheese has melted.

8.  Cut and serve!  Our kids loved them and we thought they were delicious!

Oh and the extra chicken mixture makes a great cracker dip also!

ENJOY!!
